Ukukhuthaza is a non-profit organisation
established by the Anglican Church of St John the Baptist in Pinetown,
Kwa-Zulu Natal, in the Republic of South Africa (www.stjohnbaptist.co.za). It began as a group of concerned
parishioners wanting to do something to alleviate the suffering caused by
the spread of HIV-Aids in the communities in and around Pinetown. A
number of community workers from these townships joined the group,
assisting them in the task of identifying the people most in need of help,
and explaining what the most pressing needs were. In 2004 the group
was established as the St John's Ukukhuthaza AIDS Concern Group
and the outreach program became more structured. In 2005 the group
was registered with the Department of Social Development as a Non Profit
Organisation under number 044-646-NPO. This enables them to raise
funds and to finance projects for their important ministry. |

Ngonyaka ka-2004 leli
qembu labunjwa njenge- “St John’s Ukukhuthaza Aids Concern Group” nenkonzo
yokuhlangabezana nomphakathi yahleleka ngokufanelekile. Ngonyaka ka-2005
leliqembu labhalisa ngaphansi komnyango wezenhlalakahle nokuthuthukisa
njengenhlangano engabheke nzuzo, kule nombolo ethi 044-646-NPO. Lokhu
kubanika ilungelo lokuthuthukisa isikhwama futhi likwazi ukuzikhokhela
ezintweni ezibalulekile. |
